My shop started out of necessity. I was in search of a way to make an additional income for my children and myself. I had always been a stay-at-home mom until my divorce. Unfortunately it left me with a huge gap in my work history and not a lot of options. Having always been an artist, I decided to pursue creating an income using my love for painting and design.

A few years ago I was told "you can't make something old from something new". Well, to their surprise, I sure can. I work with wood that is aged and wood that is new. I enjoy going to a hardware store & going through all of their bins. Sometimes things scream at me. Sometimes I see something I have to have, but I'm not sure what to do with it yet. My home shop is cluttered with all kinds of things that I still haven't figured out what I want to do with them yet. Someday they will be something special.

I have my "wall of priorities". I put sticky notes everywhere. The clock is my enemy. I never have enough hours in my days. I work in my downstairs shop every day until about 4:30, run to drop the days shipments off at the post office & spend the rest of my evenings with my children. Being able to work around all of my kids activities has been a blessing that we all appreciate. When they are tucked in to bed for the night, I usually work on the shipping orders for the next day.
